Co-Founder
Leland Allen
Leland, also referred to as "LA," co-founder of Select Traffic Control & Security LLC, brings over 15 years of law enforcement experience, more than 12 years in construction, and over 20 years of leadership in football as both a player and coach ranging from youth leagues to the professional level.
His professional background includes extensive work in public safety, crisis response, traffic operations, and community engagement, giving him the practical knowledge needed to lead a company dedicated to safety, professionalism, and service.
Beyond law enforcement and business, Leland’s diverse journey includes success in the music industry as a member of an R&B group that achieved a Billboard Top 100 single, demonstrating his lifelong commitment to teamwork, discipline, and excellence.
A proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and an inductee into the University of Idaho Hall of Fame, Leland believes leadership begins with faith, character, and treating people with respect. His passion for helping others drives his commitment to creating opportunities for active and retired officers seeking meaningful employment through Select Traffic Control & Security.

Co-Founder
Brent Howard
Prior to co-founding Select Traffic Control & Security, Brent served 15 years with the City of Redmond, Washington Police Department, where he achieved the rank of Detective Lieutenant. His experience in law enforcement includes time in patrol, traffic, and investigations.
Brent served as a Field Training Officer, Public Information Officer and Crisis Negotiator. He transitioned into the private sector as the Regional Security Manager for Microsoft’s Redmond campus.
Before joining Leland to start Select, Brent owned a private security guard company based in Seattle, and has spent the last 5 years working as a UPO. Brent also has extensive customer service and management experience in the retail and hospitality industries with Starbucks Corp. and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts respectively.
